Our talented writers have given us unique insight into these businesses and their respective owners. Local artist, Robert Waltsak, has adorned our front cover with an oil on canvas entitled, “In Full Bloom.“ Robert is a plein-air impressionist oil painter of landscape and still life. When asked why he enjoys painting familiar New Jersey scenes time and again, he simply answered because they are always different. Through his devotion to painting, Waltsak believes he is able to see and capture details that 10 years ago he couldn’t have seen. He states, “Every hour in the day reveals differences in light and shadow. Early light is often filled with mist whereas later light changes as moisture evaporates. Seasons affect the nature of light too, as the sun’s ark through sunrise to sunset shifts from summer to winter. The dynamic between light and shadow is essential and always present.” Please read Robert’s impressive bio on page 10. We encourage you to view our ONLINE RECIPE BOOK this Spring!
