For over six years, Warren’s Turf N Surf Burger Grill has redefined fast, casual dining. The family- owned restaurant’s commitment to high quality, fresh food, an innovative menu and great service has made it the area’s go-to spot for an amazing meal. Now, the owners are happy to announce that they have opened a second location in Somerville – Turf, Surf & Earth – with the same great quality and service but with an expanded menu that will offer more plant-based options.
Byron Salazar, Jr. created the concept for Turf N Surf and with his sister, Kristin Salazar, together they have defined fast, casual dining. With the help of their parents, they were able to make their dream a reality with the opening of the popular eatery. The Salazar family has called Bridgewater their home for over 37 years. With Turf N Surf, they found a way to combine their love of family and great food. Turf N Surf’s diverse menu offers a wide array of proteins from the “turf”- including angus beef, lamb, pork and even a rib eye burger- or “surf”- including salmon, tilapia, shrimp and scallops- on a choice of bun, rice or a salad. Turf N Surf also has a great kids menu and all menu options are made with the highest quality, freshest ingredients available. The best part is that the prices won’t break the bank so you can bring the whole family, everyone can get what they want for dinner and you won’t break the bank!
Turf N Surf’s popularity has enabled them to open Turf, Surf, & Earth in Somerville. They are bringing the family commitment to quality, innovation, and great service to this new location but introducing a menu that goes beyond the tried and true surf and turf options to include 100 percent plant based options like lentil mushroom, chipotle black bean, falafel, and tofu burgers or simply greens and rice.
The Salazar family has worked hard to make Turf N Surf stand out and be a place that people want to visit again and again. While Byron focuses on Turf, Surf & Earth, his sister, Kristin, and her husband, Miguel, have taken the reigns of running Turf N Surf. The family takes pride in its diverse, flavorful menu, including unique specials like soups, fish tacos and curry, and generous portions. Each meal is made to order but is served fast and perfectly cooked. “One comment that we get again and again from our patrons is that their meal was great as usual. That is because we strive for that consistency- for excellence every time,” Kristin notes.
