ON THE COVER
Warren-Watchung Edition
Luna is the title of our cover art, painted in acrylics by Matthew Stock. His art has been inspired by some of the “greats” such as Wassily Kandinsky, Roy Lichtenstein, and Marc Chagall. He has also found inspiration from comic book legends. His sight of a woman lying in a field of flowers was his motivation for this colorful painting in which he transmutes an ordinary scene into an extraordinary piece of art.
Bernards-Ridge Edition
Our cover art was painted by local artist, Eric Kahn. He says his oil painting “was inspired by the impressionist painters of the 19th and 20th centuries who worked along the Delaware River towns of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.” His depiction, Winter Walking on the Bank, was the perfect choice for the holiday issue.
Bridgewater-Somerville Edition
In the Glorious Moment is the title of the artwork that graces our cover. The scene brings to mind a beautiful, crisp, fall day accompanied by a colorful palette of turning leaves. Kathy Block says of her piece, “…the bright sun burning through the foliage on a spectacular clear day captured my attention.” She is also inspired by interesting patterns and textures.
