Our Cover Art:
Warren-Watchung edition
Our cover artist, Lauren E. Loscialo, grew up in Warren and is the sister of our editorial and production coordinator, Georgeann Agaisse. Her work is titled Lotus Pink and is a mixed-media piece. The vibrant pinks, reds, and magentas are eye-catching! The artwork was inspired by a photo from a trip to Vietnam. Lauren loves to find “natural” architecture within the landscape and is inspired by form and textures, as displayed in the perfect curves of this beautiful lotus.
Bernards-Ridge edition
Our cover artist is Lynne Tenten, a long-time advertiser with us! Her work is entitled, Whimsy and was inspired by “a quaint shack on the Chincoteague Island in Virginia.” She used a combination of acrylics and printed elements to create this serene scene by the water.
Bridgewater-Somerville edition
The gorgeous sunset on our cover was painted by Iryna Medvedovska. She is a graphic artist who has worked with The Connection for many years. Her work is titled, Sunset on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The scene was so vivid in person that she decided to put it on canvas. She says of the piece, “The warm shades of yellow, orange, and purple in the sky, smoothly transitioning into cold tones of blue and indigo, reflected my inner emotions and feelings.”
