Welcome to The Bernard-Ridge Connection Magazines’ September 2020 issue. Having not published in June because of the COVID 19 pandemic, it feels great to be representing the courageous local businesses who are working hard every day to provide goods and services to our community.
In the past few months, we have seen profound changes in our personal lives and the ways we interact on a business level.
Throughout this pandemic period, The Connection Magazines’ has continued to support the local business community by keeping them visible, in print for the April issues, and through our extensive social media channels. We continue to applaud all the businesses that have used their creativity and reimagined their practices in order to come out stronger!
Our “new normal” will continue to present challenges and opportunities we may never have envisioned: curbside delivery; social distancing protocols; customer personalization practices, and, new business models to survive this new world. We are committed to promoting our local businesses and helping them thrive in an environment that is foreign to all of us.
The Connection Magazines stand by our dedication to continue to be a leading resource, to inform, to engage, and involve the communities we serve. We will maintain support for our common theme: SHOP LOCAL!
WINNER WINNER!
Our Bernard-Ridge “Spot the Fake Ad” winner is Diane Sallans of Basking Ridge. Diane won a gift from The Connection Magazines.

Local artist, David J. Worthington, adorns our front cover with an acrylic on stretched canvas entitled, “Village/Greek Island”. David, after having a successful and productive career in the banking industry has the privilege to paint full time now. He states, “The Greek island city was inspired initially by a New York Times Magazine photo. I liked the fact that it had a soft, flat feel. So I tried to capture that on the canvas.” Please read David’s impressive bio on page 8.
