Having an eye on the market and staying on top of fashion trends and design has been the life’s work of Christina Gianni, owner of B boutique in Bernardsville. Gianni has worked for over twenty years in high fashion in both San Francisco and New York. She credits her love of fashion and interior design to her grandmother who traveled the world, bringing back treasures and experiences, sharing her love of culture and home design with an emphasis on modern boho with a classic twist. Her grandmother’s influence convinced her that women supporting other women is a proven method for success. As a champion for female entrepreneurs, Gianni has supported and mentored many small business owners in the area as the co-founder of Guest House in Basking Ridge and collaborating, in-store, with Shop Olcott and Lupa Apothecary, who have recently opened their own storefronts, which got their starts with brick and mortar in B boutique under the mentorship and tutelage of Gianni.
This season, Gianni has her eye on bold colors and textures, monochromatic wardrobing, and accessories that imbue a California vibe and Moroccan boho aesthetic. Staying on top of the latest trends and sifting through publications and online sites can be both time-consuming and frustrating. In a post-pandemic world, astute people are eager for experiential shopping with the trend back to tactile and visual outings. At B boutique, Gianni has created a unique and visually enticing space with a mix of whimsical glassware, textured handbags, luxury candles, loungewear, and both classic and on-trend jewelry of all price points that is challenging to find elsewhere. With thoughtfully curated window displays that change weekly, Gianni showcases carefully explored and ethically sourced lines while avoiding fast fashion in favor of on-the-rise brands with investment pieces that are both affordable and from female-owned businesses handcrafted in the United States. Her focus is to blend sustainable fashion and home décor to match your personal style.
Spring 2022 is going to be a continuation of leisure fashion where we saw underwear worn as outerwear, body-positive attitudes towards fashion and new ways to interpret loungewear in everyday wardrobing. B boutique Spring fashion for 2022 includes silky drawstring pants that are vibrantly colored with a buttery texture that is functional from day into night. New silhouettes in denim paired with floor-sweeping capes, dusters, kimonos, and lightweight cardigans will be showcased in B boutique this Spring and Summer. Recent runway shows have proven that statement, satirically rebranded “prep” dressing, and Chromatica will take center stage this season. Bar carts, cocktail recipe books, ice buckets, and home accessories made in homage to the Chinese Chinoiserie style in Blue and White are featured in-store. An eclectic array of home accents meshed with a loungewear inspired by beautiful coffee table books (Slim Aarons is the focal point this season) will blend seamlessly to create fashion and home décor style reminiscent of the Boho Luxe looks from the 1970s. Visit the boutique to explore and experience all the exciting and eclectic merchandise in person.
