Join the Fight Against Food Insecurity – JFS to hold the 6th Annual Soup for the Soul Event
By: Kari Scaglione & Jill Fuerst, JFS Board Members & Co-Chairs of Soup for the Soul 2022
We are pleased to invite you to join the Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties in the fight against hunger in our community. The rapidly increasing cost of living and ongoing social challenges are making it difficult for our neighbors to purchase groceries and meet everyday needs. According to Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the US, “In New Jersey, 657,320 people are facing hunger – and of them 175,830 are children.” That means that 1 in 14 people face hunger, and 1 in 11 children face hunger.
