Do you ever find yourself wondering what you can do to live a healthier lifestyle? I’m sure you’ve experienced or heard of many different dieting trends in hopes to make yourself feel more energized, lose weight, feel less bloated, and manage your chronic illnesses. Although this sounds great, creating lifestyle changes and finding the root cause of the issue, is what you may find the most realistic and sustainable. Registered Dietitian Nutritionists are experts in human nutrition and the regulation of medical nutrition therapy. Dietitians are licensed healthcare professionals that are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat nutrition issues.
Amanda Fano is a Registered Dietitian that provides one-on-one nutrition counseling to help individuals meet their health and wellness goals through disease prevention & management, such as diabetes management, thyroid complications, cardiovascular health, gastrointestinal complications, etc. She develops nutrition and supplement protocols along with creating individualized meal plans and shopping lists. She also provides webinars featuring trending nutrition-related topics and is available for nutrition talks and in-services.
For the nutrition counseling sessions, she utilizes a comprehensive medical nutrition therapy approach to assist in the management of the patient. She has successfully been able to help patients with diabetes through carbohydrate counting and weight management through an “all foods fit” approach. Patients who work with her have seen drastic changes in weight, and lab parameters such as hemoglobin A1C, cholesterol & triglyceride levels, etc. within a couple of months by following her recommendations. She is able to assist patients in overcoming nutrition-related barriers to increase their self-efficacy and better manage their nutrition-related concerns. She states, “one patient specifically had a Hemoglobin A1C level of 14% and with my comprehensive nutrition recommendations, they were able to decrease the level to 9% within 3 months. I create a
professional relationship with my clients and individualize their sessions specifically to their needs.”
