Renowned for his ability to create uncanny likeness of famous sports icons, James Fiorentino has propelled himself to the top of the sports art community. He has painted and illustrated some of the most recognized faces in the world using his self-taught watercolor expression from Presidents, Nobel Peace Prize Winners, CEO’s and political icons. His work is showcased in museums, galleries, and private collections across the globe, and his story has been told on national television and in the pages of magazines and newspapers.
James is the youngest artist inducted into the prestigious New York Society of Illustrators and was the youngest artist to display his work in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Fiorentino continues to prove himself as a highly regarded illustrator and painter. James graduated from Drew University in 1999. Now, his trademark detail and realism in watercolor can be seen in his wildlife paintings.
Fiorentino is also a member of the Society of Animal Artists in which two of his recent paintings have been exhibited in the prestigious “Art And The Animal” Show which was held at the San Diego Natural History Museum in 2011 and this year at the Bennington in Vermont. James is also a trustee of the Raptor Trust of New Jersey. James’s “Black Vulture” was recently published in the Society of Illustrators Annual Competition, Illustrators 51 and one of James’ paintings has been selected to the “America’s Parks” exhibit which will hang in several museums and galleries in 2014. James has had solo shows of his wildlife artwork at the Flyway Gallery-Meadowlands, NJ Environmental Center and the Somerset County, NJ Parks Commission Environmental Center.
