An award-winning watercolor artist, Nancy E. Robinson has been working in the fine arts field for more than 30 years.
After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts and Art Education from The College of Saint Elizabeth, Nancy continued her studies with several notable artists – Carol Hubbard, John Salminen, Judy Betts, Anne Kullaf, Gary Godbee and Stan Miller. Studies continued at The Yard School of Art, Center for Contemporary Design and Du Cret School of Art.
As a resident of Basking Ridge, she has taught painting to students in her home studio. Her work in private collections in NJ, CT and Chicago and Florida. She is represented by Manasquan Paint and Frame Gallery, Manasquan, NJ.
An elected Signature Member of New Jersey Watercolor Society, Nancy holds professional membership in EWCC, MSHAC, GSWCS, and NJ Society of Plein Air Painters.
Working in both watercolor and oils, her work is often architectural landscapes inspired by local surroundings and travel abroad. Figures in everyday settings are also of interest. “The subject itself is secondary to the primary interest of depicting the ethereal effect of light and shadow on the subject matter.”
