Kate is a fine artist who specializes in oil painting, and paints landscape and still life subjects which express the grandeur of nature through her sense of color and design.
Kate has painted many scenes from her travels to Europe, Bermuda, North Africa, and New England. She loves to paint local scenes, and has done many paintings at The Cross Estate in Mendham, Willowood in Pottersville, and numerous other localities.
Kate has a degree in Art History from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., and the equivalent of a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Mass. While at the Museum School, Kate studied for a semester at The Rhode Island School Of Design in Providence, where she also took a Masters Course at Brown University on Michelangelo.
Kate has been a member of the Somerset Art Association, where she has exhibited in the past and won an award of distinction. She has also exhibited her work at St. Mark’s Art Show in Mendham, winning an honorable mention, and at local area libraries and galleries. Kate does many commissioned works, but also sells her art through shows and directly at her studio in her home in Mendham. Her latest exhibit will be for the month of June at DRIP, a new Mendham coffee house on Hilltop Road, which exhibits artwork of local artists on a monthly basis.
