Brianna Wu, a senior at Watchung Hills Regional High School, has been studying fine arts. Introduced to Digital Art two years ago, Brianna has fallen in love with the medium.
She sees this form of art becoming very prominent in the future. “Digital art can be as difficult as painting by hand, however, it often doesn’t get the respect of some artists because some believe it has a ‘computer does it for you’ attitude,” states Brianna. She recognizes that there will always be people opposed to new ideas but hopes there will always be new ways to express art. Brianna believes a computer is just another tool of expression, and if used correctly, the works created can be just as striking as traditional art forms.
Her accomplishments include recognition for her digital illustrations at the duCret School of Art Annual High School Art Show, Honorable Mention Digital Illustration in 2013 and 1st Prize Digital Illustration in the 2014 show.
One of her designs was also selected for the cover of the Watchung Hills Regional High School PTO Student Directory.
Brianna lives in Warren and upon graduating hopes to go to college and move to California. She takes a huge interest in video editing and hopes to minor in film. Brianna also enjoys snowboarding and working out at the gym in her free time.
