Larry Felder specializes in the field of dinosaur illustration, one of less than 100 illustrators worldwide that make a living at it. His work is known for having a photo-real approach to the subject. Larry states, “I have work in a number of museums, books, magazines, private and public collections, national parks and it has been seen on TV.”
He has published a book entitled, “In The Presence of Dinosaurs,” (Time/Life Books, copy 2000) which concentrates primarily on North America, and the wildlife of that time period. In addition, Larry is working on a traveling exhibit for museums and science centers, called, “Bringing Dinosaurs to Life.” It is an exhibit of art, fossils and the source materials that dinosaur illustrators use to create plausible reconstructions of the animals and their world. The exhibit is built around his most often asked question, “How do you know what dinosaurs looked like?”
Larry’s artwork can be viewed on his website at www.larryfelder.com. He also is an accomplished landscape artist and has just finished his first novel, due out soon.
