Francesca is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration and a concentration using acrylics and pastels. She studied at Du Crete School of Art and Ringling College of Art & Design and possesses over 35 years of art and 15 years of teaching experience. and 15 years of teaching experience.
An accomplished Fine Artist, Francesca uses acrylic, pastels, and all drawing mediums. For the past 20 years, she also has been a mural painter using acrylics in the traditional brush method as well as an airbrush. She has adopted granite/monument etching with its unique drawing capabilities. Genres’ in all mediums ranging from landscapes, still life, figurative, and portraits.

Her fine art, murals, and etchings decorate many residential and commercial spaces. She is an award-winning artist and her work can be seen at the ACL Gallery, juried shows in NY and NJ, and on her website www.francescapelaggi.com. Francesca is a member of the ACNJ, PSNJ, Studio Montclair, and RHAA.
She enjoys sharing her passion and experience with others, teaching children and adults, from beginner to advanced levels. She instructs classes in pastels, acrylic, and all drawing mediums.
