Coronavirus has un- doubtedly caused people to adjust to a new way of living. It has branched into all facets of life and, most importantly, highlighted the changes we need to make in our lives. During this tran- sitive time, the value of our homes has become very ap- parent. This realization has caused many homeowners to rethink their existing spac- es and delve into the world of remodeling. Our client’s satisfaction has always been our utmost concern, and their wellbeing takes precedence. We have modi ed our construction and showroom operations to adapt to today’s reality. Our construction crew socially distance, mask up, split into teams, and sanitize daily. We also use barriers to separate the work area and keep our clients’ homes clean to reassure homeowners and staff alike. Our showroom has made changes. We are open by appointment only. With so many samples available, we sanitize after each meeting. These necessary changes ensure that our clients and employees feel safe and protected during these unknown times. Along with adapting to new public health needs, the COVID pandemic has also caused some of the most signi cant material price in- creases in a decade. The industry saw substan- tial increases in lumber, which affected prices for trim, cabinetry, and other items dependent on lumber. The pandemic’s effect on the transpor- tation industry saw projects extended due to backorders for materials. With our cus- tomers’ needs at the fore- front, our crews work day in and day out to make sure jobs are completed on time. Our design team has stayed in constant contact with cus- tomers and manufacturers to ensure materials are deliv- ered on time and renovation due dates are met. As a design rm, we have also seen the needs of clients change within the present world. The open- plan home has shifted, and the need for functional and separate spaces has become vital. The kitchen remains the “heart of the home,” however, the necessi- ty of different areas has been accentuated with family members spending their time at home. With parents working from home and children taking online classes throughout the house, our homes have come to mean so much more. Our designers have developed creative ideas to ac- commodate their needs. But most of all, after a full day of work from home, the kitchen remains the place to unwind. This ever so important room helps take your mind off of work or school. A refreshed look to your home, where your fami- ly members seek comfort, can be just the change and excitement you need this summer. With a need for a functional space to work from home, our designers have helped clients create their dream of ce spaces. As we move our work from our of ces to our homes, the need for a practical and eye-pleasing space has become ever so important. Our designers have innova- tive ideas to hide wires, add attractive cabinetry, and establish the perfect work-life balance. The pandemic has challenged our lives in many ways, but challenges also bring opportu- nities. Although our families are con ned during these uncertain times, it allows us to take a sec- ond look at the spaces in our homes. Please con- tact Fleetwood Kitchens, and our design team will nd ways to make your home more function- al, fun, and relaxing for the whole family.
