The Connections Bernard's Ridge Edition November 2021 - January 2022
theconnectionsnj.com HEALTH & WELLNESS PAGE 49 Today’s retail environment gives shoppers many options to shop both online and of- fline alike. Dean’s approach to providing the community with healthy natural and organic op- tions is apparent once you en- ter any of the four NJ locations. Dean’s offers one hundred percent organic produce, unlike big box stores that choose to offer produce sprayed with pes- ticides or genetically modified produce. We believe in offering you the same quality foods we would feed to our own families, food held to a higher standard, because why should we carry anything less? We carry produce that is seasonal, fresh, and local whenever possible, to support local food suppliers and to give our customers a range of fruits and veggies to choose from. Remember, whatever goes into your food, also goes into your body, and we firmly believe harmful chemicals don’t belong on produce. Dean’s offers fresh foods from our To-Go Bar. We offer a range of salads, wraps, sides & more. All orders can be custom- ized to your liking. We have a plethora of meal options to fit the needs of a variety of diets, all with health and taste at the forefront of each creation! A busy day doesn’t have to mean an unhealthy meal; just stop by one of our Dean’s locations to pick up a healthy lunch or din- ner you can feel good about feeding your family. We also boast a Juice Bar, where we make juices, smooth- ies, bowls & wellness shots like our wheatgrass shot, Fire Ci- der, Fireside Tonic and our hot shot! We even have a menu for kids with options like our Funky Monkey, Pineapple Polar Bear & more! Your little one can enjoy a healthy juice or smoothie while you do your shopping! Wheth- er you’re looking for a healthy protein shake like our famous Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie, or a cleansing juice like our lemon cleanser, we’ve got you covered! We currently offer curb- side pick-up to our customers, whether you just like the conve- nience, are super busy, or have concerns related to COVID19 and prefer contactless pick-up. Dean’s customers can place an order with us through The Dean’s Natural Food Market App, and our staff will shop the store for those items, and have them bagged and ready for a scheduled pick-up time. In ad- dition, we are truly excited to announce that we will soon be offering online ordering for de- livery through DoorDash. Our customers will be able to view our sales from our website, add items to their cart and have them delivered directly to their doorstep! At Dean’s we care about the communities we work and live in and have chosen to dedi- cate each month of the year to a cause near and dear to the hearts of our employees and customers alike. For the Month of September, we chose to do- nate to Sarah’s Fight For Hope & The Ashley Lauren Foundation, two local organizations dedicat- ed to helping children & their families with childhood cancer. If you would like to donate to them as well, please visit their websites at https://www.sarahs- fightforhope.org/ and https:// www.ashleylaurenfoundation.org/. Any amount can make a world of difference for these children and their families! By Eileen Connair WHAT MAKES DEAN’S DIFFERENT?
