Operating under the resolute motto, “Anything, anytime, anywhere,” this specialized team is a major upgrade in tactical readiness, resource deployment, and inter-agency cooperation for Somerset County and the surrounding area. The creation of the Sheriff’s ESU ensures that the region has specialized law enforcement resources to handle high-risk operations, critical incidents, and complex emergency scenarios that demand specialized tactical expertise.
