Our staff is working remotely and we continue to serve the needs of the com- munity. To ensure everyone’s safety and health, our services are now being delivered remotely by telehealth and telephone contact. For any questions, inquiries or concerns you can still call our regular number 908 725- 7799 , please leave a voicemail message and we will return your call. Mental Health and Career Counseling Services are ongoing by telehealth meth- ods in most cases. If you have a scheduled appointment the session will be conducted by telephone for the time being. Senior Services: For every- one’s safety we are no longer making home visits for coun- seling, case management and volunteer visits. Instead, we are remaining in contact by telehealth methods and by phone. If you need to speak with your JFS social worker or volunteer or you are seeking help for the first time, please call our main number (908 725-7799) and leave a message. Voicemail is being checked throughout the day and your call will be returned. The one exception to this is our Senior Shopper pro- gram. Our staff and volunteers continue to shop for the indi- viduals enrolled this program. We are seeking volunteers to help. A limited number of JFS Group activities are now being done virtually. Check our website www.jewish- familysvc.org for more infor- mation. Volunteer Visitation Pro- gram (Family Mentors and Senior Mentors): Home visits have been suspended. Con- tact with families in this pro- gram are being maintained by telehealth methods and phone contact. Staff and vol- unteers are staying in touch and offering support. JFS is a not for profit, nonsec- tarian social service agency serving the needs of individu- als and families in Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Coun- ties since 1980. JFS is com- mitted to serving the needs of the entire community and offers a continuum of pro- grams and services. Licensed clinical social workers provide individual, couple and family counseling as well as geriatric assessments, supportive coun- seling and case management services for home bound eld- erly. The Family Mentor Pro- gram recruits, trains and matches volunteers with vul- nerable young families or with elderly persons for friendly, supportive, in-home visits; Families with children with special needs are assisted through social groups, parent groups and through the Fami- ly Mentor Program. Career Counseling helps individuals in many aspects of their job search. Ohr Tikvah-Light of Hope Jewish Healing Services offers presentations, support groups, and individual spiritu- al counseling to address the health, wellness and healing needs of the community. All information is confidential. Many programs are at no cost, on a sliding fee scale or payable through third party insurance.
