The Connections Bridgewater Somerville Edition April/May 2021
THE BRIDGEWATER-SOMERVILLE CONNECTION PAGE 10 APRIL - MAY 2021 theconnectionsnj.com Nestled in the heart of Somerset County since 1911, Raritan Valley Country Club provides a member experience that goes beyond golf. Though the past year has proven to be uniquely challenging, Raritan Valley Country Club has continued to see an in ux of new members who are eager to experience the family culture and atmosphere of this historic facility. In addition to the club’s Herbert H. Barker-designed golf course, the club offers a wide array of amenities, including a resort-style pool, four Har- Tru tennis courts, indoor squash courts, and an assortment of ne and casual dining options. A rich social calendar, youth programs and activities, as well as competitive golf, swimming and tennis programs further enhance the Club’s family atmosphere. Unlike other businesses in the hospitality industry, country clubs are exclusive, offer socially-distanced outdoor amenities and activities, and allow their members a way to escape without disregarding CDC guidelines or travel restrictions - all within a safe and familiar environment. As restrictions were lifted, RVCC members were excited to return to regular course play, resume on- site dining, engage in tennis and youth programs, take part in social events, and enjoy the summer sun poolside at their own private oasis. Raritan Valley Country Club has truly stood the test of time, with an incredible mix of members - from their new generation of Young Executive families (geared for those under age 40) to families who have been members for over 40 years – including some 3rd and 4th generation members. Nancy and Arthur Lee, members since 1997, believe that their membership at RVCC has truly enriched their lives. “Raritan Valley Country Club is a very special place,” said Nancy. “First and foremost, its members are kind, very friendly, supportive when needed, and provide lots of fun and laughter. Being members of RVCC has enabled us to make many special and long-lasting friendships. We have met special people whom we would have never met if we hadn’t joined the Club.” Rob and Katelyn Dif n joined the club in the fall of 2018 under the Young Executive Membership. With two young daughters, this family has found its social hub. “Between golf, kids’ camps, the kids playing together, pool time, and dining options, it’s easy for our family to spend an entire day at the club,” said Rob. Whether young or young at heart, RVCC’s members enjoy a special camaraderie that extends beyond the club’s walls. Raritan Valley Community Club invites you to be a part of their family, where you too can enjoy the bene ts of membership and build friendships that last a lifetime.
