As we begin to emerge from a long peri- od of upheaval, our greatest take- aways are: together, it is easier to overcome challenges, and staying current with LOCAL information is crucial for the community! As a Community Magazine we truly walk the talk when we say our focus is keeping LOCAL businesses and thousands of readers connected. Throughout 2020 we heavily promoted LOCAL businesses on our social media platforms to increase visibility and disseminate information, articles, cou- pons etc., keeping our readers well informed. And we continue to stay laser-focused on LOCAL! This issue we are proud to CELEBRATE WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES! These women, armed with strength and determina- tion, have worked hard to sail through the tough times this year or have had the enterprise to see opportunity and launch new businesses. Hats off to them! Please look for the WOMEN OWNED logo on their ads and join me, as a WOMEN OWNED business my- self, in honoring and supporting them! Local artist, Rebecca Rosenheck, adorns our front cover with an award-winning pastel painting entitled Spring On My Windowsill. Rebecca is an artist, painting from life and trying to capture the light. She states, “Inspiration for this painting came at the beginning of March, after a long winter, when there was still snow on the ground and I was awaiting spring blooms. Purchas- ing the rst daffodil buds available, I set them up on the windowsill and waited for the late afternoon sun to shine through the pet- als to paint their gorgeous luminous color.” Please read Rebecca’s impressive bio on page 8. • IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY with your cooking prowess.
