In this issue, we are celebrating women business owners who with their grit and determination have sailed through tough times or have had the vision to see opportunity and launch a new business. As a woman business owner myself, I am extremely proud to feature each one of them. Please look for the WOMEN-OWNED logo on their ads. Bridgewater-Raritan High School student, Rachel Ou’s artwork entitled, “Blueberries” graces the cover. Here’s what inspired Rachel to create this piece: “In the springtime, my mother loves growing flowers and fruits in our backyard garden. One day, as I plucked some blueberries from its vines, and set it down on wooden planks of our porch, I was touched by the nuances of the blue color and texture. Wanting to capture the beauty of the fruit, I quickly sketched the image and took a picture.” Please read her impressive bio on page 8. • IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY with your cooking prowess.
