COMMUNICATION IS KEY Language is crucial to this communication and at CHP language is taught in its many forms, from ever-expanding verbal skills and vocabulary to a working knowledge of writing code. In our Reading & Writing Lab, students are able to re ne their familiarity with various types of documents, from literary articles to scienti c papers, and learn the distinctions be- tween them. Students as young as First Grade engage directly with the technological abilities that will help them navigate a rapidly evolv- ing world, with increased complexity to the lessons in each grade until they are program- ming code in our middle school. The school’s multicultural library of books by noted authors ensures that even in their downtime students’ minds are still absorbing information and pro- cessing knowledge on a global scale. AN EYE TOWARD OUR FUTURE At Cedar Hill Prep we have not only met the challenges of last year but utilized the need to overcome safety and logistical hur- dles as a means to make our already superi- or campus experience even more incompa- rable. The physical and emotional health of all students is a priority on campus every day and recent strides on both fronts have made our school safer than ever. Beyond precautions and continuing health protocols, our curricular and extra- curricular programs are expanding as well. Our sports, drama, and music programs continue to grow each year, with newly established connections such as our part- nership with the Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts. This provides increasing opportunities for students to display their personal passions and demonstrate the pursuits that have made them proud mem- bers of the Cedar Hill Prep community month in and out.
