If you want to learn about a par- ticular place, tell us! Everyone can help us plan the trip. It’s going to be a wild ride, so get ready to explore the states! July 13 - 24 – Out of This World Blast off with us and discover faraway planets, comets, space stations and other amazing objects in our galaxy. We’ll go on an adventure to find out what the constellations look like, how astronauts traveled from Earth to the moon, why gravity keeps us on the ground and so much more. We might even build a space shuttle and take an imaginary trip to Mars. July 27 - August 7 – Authors in Training Books are gateways to new worlds filled with interesting characters and stories. You’ll get the chance to talk about dif- ferent kinds of stories and write about them. There’s a little something for every- one, so grab a pen and get writing! We can’t wait to read your story. August 10 - 21 – Passport Around the World The world is full of interesting cultures, some of which are very different than our own. We’ll take a trip around the world from the safety and comfort of the classroom by exploring different customs, food, lan- guages and more. Here’s the fun part: you’ll help us design the itinerary! If there’s a culture or country you want to learn about, tell us. Get those passports ready because we’re going on a fantastic voyage! August 24 - 28 – Wee Rock Turn up the volume because it’s time to rock! We’ll fill the air with beautiful music as we sing and play instruments. We’ll also investigate various kinds of music we like. We’ll examine the similarities and differences in rock, pop, classical and other types of music.
