Quali ed families may receive up to a 60% tuition scholarship, making HWIS’s renowned Mandarin and Spanish immersion programs more accessible than ever. “We’re committed to opening doors for more families to bene t from the cognitive, academic, and cultural advantages of bilingual education,” said Sharon Huang, HWIS Founder. e scholarship supports enrollment in HWIS’s new Accelerated Bilingual Cohort (ABC), a specialized track designed for students with little to no prior Mandarin or Spanish exposure. Cultural Immersion: Students Return from China In March, HWIS students in grades 5–7 participated in a 10-day study trip to China, visiting Beijing, Luoyang, and Kaifeng. ey attended classes at partner schools, lived with host families, and engaged in traditional cultural activities. “It was powerful to see our students using Mandarin in real-world situations,” said Principal David Heller. e trip fostered greater uency, cultural understanding, and personal growth—core goals of HWIS’s global education model. New Bus Transportation for NJ Families To further expand access, HWIS will o er bus transportation starting Fall 2025 for students ages 4 and up from Millburn, Short Hills, Maplewood, and South Orange. e service includes a central pickup location in Millburn with drop-o at the Stirling campus before the 8:30 AM start time.
