We ring in the new year with an outstanding issue filled with new and return- ing advertisers, great editorial content and dedicated sections making the magazine more focused and easier to read. This issue we are proud to present the follow- ing dedicated sections: Summer Programs Section for those families looking to get a jump on camps and activities for the children this summer, Explore The Country Mile featuring local businesses , Tie The Knot Section for your wedding and special events in the planning, Home Sweet Home Sec- tion for ALL needs around the house, Dining Out Section featuring local eateries and food options, Health & Wellness Section brimming with won- derful solutions, tips and hints for everything health related and Spotlight on Seniors Section focused on our “senior” community. Also highlighted from our business/professional community are: Gallop Asian Bistro, LizzyJays Juice and Cove Carpet One Floor and Home. Our talented writers have given us unique insight into these businesses and their respective owners. Local artist, Carol Clemens, adorns our cover with a beautiful oil entitled, “Rubies and Amber.” She states, ”This family of cardinals comes to my feeder each season. There is always a set of parents and, so far, a boy child.” This oil painting received an Award of Excellence from the Livingston Artists Association. Recently returning to her art as a full time profession, Carol has found it so rewarding. Please read her impressive bio on page 8. In keeping with our “Community Minded” com- mitment, The Connection Magazines were hon- ored to make the following generous charitable donations in 2014: WHRHS Project Graduation, WHRHS Hall of Fame, Keeping Babies Safe, Watchung Hills Soccer Association, New Yorkers for Children, Warren Township PBA, Warren Lion’s Club, Watchung Hills Elks Club, Watchung Arts Center, The Center for Contemporary Arts, Shimon & Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center Scholarship Fund, Swim Inc., Laurie Strauss Leukemia Founda- tion, The Field Band Foundation, Weichert Realtors Breast Cancer Fund Raiser, Bernardsville Chamber of Commerce, Nick Tanelli Soccer Foundation and St. Jude Hospital Foundation among others.
