Although it has long been a staple in downtown Far Hills, the new owner of Fox Chase Nails has transformed the nail salon and given it a rebirth. The new Fox Chase Nails is modern, clean, tasteful and warm – a welcome addition to Far Hills Center. This past fall, Fox Chase Nails was purchased by Basking Ridge resident Phoebe Yoo. Phoebe has a background working in fashion in New York, but she took a few years off to raise her daughter. Being a Somerset Hills resident herself, she understands what we are looking for in a nail salon. She did a won- derful job redecorating the salon. She gave it a facelift with soft tones, dark wood accents, and glass tubs in all of the pedicure sta- tions. The warm and inviting atmosphere is evident from the moment that you open the door. Whether it is for a manicure\ pedicure, waxing or massage, all of the technicians at Fox Chase Nails are certified and experts in what they do. Like the owner of an old school Italian restaurant or the maître d’ in a five star establish- ment, Phoebe spends her time making sure that all of the clients feel welcome, that their needs are met and that everything runs smoothly. “One of the top priorities for me when I went to a salon was cleanliness, so keeping everything in Fox Chase Nails clean is a top priority for me,” Phoebe states. That shows in the details like uten- sils such as buffers and files are one time use and, if they are not dis- posable, all utensils are sanitized after each use. All pedicure tubs are used with individual liners for each patron. Phoebe wants Fox Chase Nails to be a place for her patrons to come not just to maintain their appearance, but also to relax and feel comfortable. The services are priced reasonably so that clients can come regularly, not just for spe- cial occasions. Phoebe loves getting to know all of her clients and shar- ing life’s ups and downs with them. Like all homes away from home, many patrons have requested that they celebrate special occasions at Fox Chase Nails . So Phoebe has opened the salon for pampering birthday parties for little princesses. The birthday girl and her friends can “glam it up” like their moms do and parents are free to bring in food, drinks and decorations.
