Family Promise to Host Annual Hike for Hope for Families Facing Housing Insecurity

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — On Sunday, May 3, Family Promise of Bergen County will host its annual Hike for Hope, a three-mile walk to support families facing housing and food insecurity in Bergen County at Van Neste Square, in Ridgewood.

Since 1993, the Family Promise Hike for Hope has welcomed hikers of all ages to bring awareness of family homelessness in Bergen County and raise funds for the non-profit's vital programs that empower working families and help them thrive. Participants can register as a team or an individual, create their own fundraising page to share with family and friends, and complete online challenges to earn points and win prizes. Following the walk, a celebration will be held at Van Neste full of entertainment, games, snacks, contests, and more!

The 2026 Family Promise Hike for Hope is proud to have Bogota Savings Bank, Freedom Bank, and Visions Federal Credit Union as Family Friend Sponsors. All three corporate partners are returning sponsors for this event and longtime supporters of Family Promise.

Proceeds from Hike for Hope will directly benefit Family Promise’s housing, support, and meal programs for working families with children facing housing and food insecurity.

• Registration Fees:
  • Adults (18+): $30 per person
  • Youth (6-17): $15 per person
  • Children Under 5: Free
