Lenape Native Americans
The Bridgewater Woman’s Club will hold its monthly meeting at the PeopleCare Center, 120 Finderne Ave. starting at 9:30 AM with refreshments and a business meeting at 10 AM. A program will follow at 11:00 AM. "Watchung" is the Lenape word for “hilly place”. A Watchung Reservation Naturalist will talk about the hilly area the Lenape people once called home and about the Lenape lifestyle. Artifacts, maps and historically documented visuals will be included in the presentation.
The Club is a non-denominational, non-sectarian, non-profit service organization that supports local, state, national, and international charities. We are a proud member of the GFWC and the NJSFWC. We succeed due to the combined efforts of many. Therefore, we welcome new members: your ideas, enthusiasm, talents, and the time you have to offer. Join us!!
