Heath Village Hosts Advance Care Planning Seminar
–
September 30, 2026
Whatever your life story, you can’t be sure of the ending. But you can take steps to write your final chapter.
Members of the community are invited to join Heath Village residents for its upcoming End-of-Life Care…What You Need to Know seminar on Wednesday, September 30, at 2:00 p.m.
This seminar is the third of four programs Heath Village is hosting on the topic of advance care planning. The first seminar, held in April, focused on important documents everyone should have, regardless of age. The second, held in August, addressed how to have meaningful conversations with loved ones about your wishes related to end-of-life care and death.
The focus of this third seminar is End-of-Life Care…What You Need to Know. A panel of three experts will discuss:
- What is hospice, and how does it differ from palliative care?
- What is a death doula, and what services does one provide?
- Medical Aid in Dying: What is it, and how does it work?
The panelists include Lisa Burtt, Regional Vice President of Ennoble Care; Rev. Aaron Twitchell, a bilingual, board-certified clinical chaplain and interfaith spiritual counselor whose current work focuses on helping people live well and die well according to their values and beliefs; and Morgan Everitt, a certified death doula who owns her own practice, Heron’s Flight.
Light refreshments will be served. The event is free, but RSVPs are required. To register or for additional information, please call 908-684-5008.
