Local artist, Mark Hunter, adorns our front cover with an oil on canvas entitled, “ A Fresh Breeze “. Mark began his art training studying the human form in life drawing sessions at the Art Students League and still enjoys painting the figure from life. But as a sailor and artist, his seascapes capture his observations and passion on the water. About this piece he states, “This painting was inspired by the racing A-Cats of Barnegat Bay. I hope the viewer is able to connect with the excitement of a sailboat racing on a windy day, and feel the sun on their cheeks, the wind in their hair, the movement of the waves, and the spray in their face.” Please read Mark’s impressive bio on page 8.
