Chester, Wade Deffenbaugh is
happy to see his new business
vision realized. Pets, pet families
and team managers enjoy
spending time here.
Wade’s background in finance
and his love of animals led him
to the
Pet Supplies Plus
fran-
chise. As a former Partner in a
major accounting firm he real-
izes how satisfying it is to own a
business fully. This local retail
store permits him to enjoy his
children as they grow up. His
children now say he is the dad
with the “coolest job” (one that
they can now explain to others.)
For these reasons the commute
to New York is unmissed and the
daily tail wagging fully enjoyed.
If you meet Patches, the mascot
at the store, you will also meet
another family member, Wade’s
wife Eva. This is indeed a family
venture!
When designing the store,
Wade included personal ele-
ments. These include a cage-
free “cat-dominium” for adopt-
able felines and accessible-width
aisles. There is a bank of fish
tanks decorated with colorful
figurines. It is a perfect place to
not only take your pet for a trip,
but also your child to check out
the critters, fish, reptiles and
cats. As a Basking Ridge father
of two, Wade knows that a
child’s love of animals can last a
lifetime.

ty for pet parents to give the
best to their pets. The quality
focus of the brand and wide
