The Art of Dance Studio
in Chester,
New Jersey is proud to congratulate
three of their dancers, George Loheac,
Christian Conaty (Chester) and John
Potash (Mendham), for dancing and per-
forming in The Hexagon Players, Billy
Elliot The Musical. With their exception-
al dance training and versatility in tap,
ballet, jazz and hip hop, all 3 boys were
perfect for this show as Billy Elliot cele-
brates that boys can dance too.
All 3 boys are members of the
Art of
Dance
Company and have been stu-
dents at the
Art of Dance
for 4-6 years.
They dance 4-5 days a week and have
proven to be dedicated dancers with
wonderful performing quality. Studio
director Valerie Harman says, “We are so
proud of these boys that have followed
their passion for dance and performing.
All our dancers work so hard, and we are
so proud of each and every one of
them.” Christian is following in his older
sisters footsteps of performing in this
show. His sister, Jessica King was a swing
with Broadway’s National Tour of Billy
Elliot. Jessica is also a member of the
Art
of Dance
Company.
The
Art of Dance
offers boys only
classes starting at age 5 in tap & hip hop
and has several male teachers on their
yearly faculty to be role models for the
boys. Ms. Harman says, “We offer a
men’s class because it is important that
boys dance like boys. At our Summer
Intensive we bring in a lot of male teach-
ers like Mike Cusamano who has been in
several Broadway shows. Kenny Easter
from American Ballet Theater will be at
our Ballet Intensive, teaching the boys to
jump high and partner the girls.” The
Art of Dance
provides an environment
to foster that passion.
Kenny will be teaching alongside
Master teacher Kat Wildish in our incred-
ible Ballet Intensive with excerpts from
Romeo & Juliet. This is an unforgettable
week of technique, variations and fun
with a performance at the end of the
week including costumes.
At the
Art of Dance,
Ms. Harman’s
goal is to provide the best, most compre-
hensive dance training available in New
Jersey for the novice dancer and for the
aspiring professional. This summer the
Art of Dance
will be offering exciting
dance classes, camps and Intensives for
all ages and levels of ability from begin-
ner to pre-professional. Children’s
themed (Princess, Frozen and Mermaid)
camps will be a blast with dance, crafts
and more for 3-6 yrs. Weekly fun in tap,
ballet, hip hop, theater and Irish camps
are available for dancers who want to
immerse themselves and focus on a par-
ticular style with a show at the end of the
week.
For the serious dancer (age 7 & up),
the
Art of Dance
offers a Summer
Dance Intensive with faculty from Broad-
way, American Ballet Theater, So You
Think You Can Dance, and the Rock-
ettes. No need to travel to NYC to get
great training, this amazing faculty
comes to Chester,
Art of Dance
to share
their knowledge and training with young
aspiring dancers!
Art of Dance
offers only the best
instruction available and in addition to
their camps, the
Art of Dance
offers a
6-week class program in your favorite
style of dance for 2½ yrs thru adults.
