Gallop is pleased to offer fine wines to accompany our extraordinary food. Unionville Vineyards manages 54 acres of estate vineyard and produces and bottles a range of wines. The wine- making team is led by Napa Valley vet- eran Cameron Stark. Unionville Vine- yards is the only New Jersey winery rec- ommended in Robert Parker’s Buying Guide and has earned multiple 90- point scores and Gold and Double Gold medals. Committed as we are tol
ocally sourced produce, meat, and dairy, we believe that offering local wine is a natural next step in our desire to produce the finest dining experience. Winemaker’s Notes Unionville Vineyards is able to grow the exceptional grapes of France, Ger- many, Spain and Italy, in the Garden State. Unionville’s latitude is below that of Southern Burgundy and the climate (in terms of rainfall, humidity, average temperatures and sunshine) is similar to that of France’s Rhone Valley. The farmers and winemaker begin with conditions on par with the greatest of the Old World’s vineyards. In short, Unionville is extremely well-situated to produce the finest of wines. Unionville makes fewer than 9,000 total cases of wine each year. That small production allows hand-picking, hand-sorting and hand-making of each wine. As with all wine, in the end, the test is in the glass. WHITES PINOT GRIGIO - Beautiful aromas, fla- vors of fresh Bosc pear with hints of pink grapefruit. Sweet fruit entry with mouthwatering acidity, ending with a long finish of grapefruit. Full and half bottles, $25.95/$18.95 CHARDONNAY - Chardonnay is right- ly called the queen of grapes. The Home Vineyard contains Unionville’s oldest vines. The juice is aged in fine neutral French oak. The result is a wine of power and elegance where the fruit, not the oak, shines brightest. Aromas of freshly sliced pear and orange peel, with pear, orange, and lemon on the palate. $27.95/$19.95 RIESLING - The semi-sweet or off-dry fermentation is off-set with natural acidity. This is a wine of finesse, featur- ing Granny Smith apple, Bosc pear, and honey. A friendly partner with comfort food like chicken apple sausage on the grill. Great with Pork Chops. $26.95 full bottle only. REDS REVOLUTIONARY RED - Unionville’s take on a Vintner’s blend, this delight- ful softer red wine is great with all kinds of food from pizza, pasta or a light meat dish. Black Currant, plum, and cherry cola with a feel of satin on the tongue. A partner to burgers or your favorite spicy chili. Smile and think of our forefathers with every sip. $25.95/$18.95 CAM JAM - The Unionville winemaker is Cameron “Cam” Stark. The story we are told is that on a moonless night, after the winery was closed Cam slipped passed Rocky the guard-dog into the winery and named this wine after himself. This wine is a monument to Cam’s experience and learning at UC Davis and California’s finest winer- ies. A Blend of Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, and Petit Syrah, this wine has aromas of dried blueberry and cranberry and hints of eucalyptus and dried herbs. This wine fills the mouth with flavors of sour cherry candy, a touch of vanilla and black tea. Soft tannins and bright acidity. Long finish with sweet cherry essence. $22.95 half bottle only.
