SCHOOL OF ST. ELIZABETH 30 Seney Drive Bernardsville Submitted By: School of St. Elizabeth Hands-On Science Lab The School of St. Elizabeth will be holding a Fall Open House for prospective students on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Visitors are welcome to come by in the morning between the hours of 9am-11am. The School of Saint Elizabeth is a faith-filled community that provides stu- dents with a strong academic foundation, stimulates intellectual curiosity, encour- ages creativity and fosters self-respect. We encourage our children to grow in knowledge, love and faith in a Catholic tradition of academic excellence. The School of St. Elizabeth has had a smooth transition implementing the new Common Core State Standards. Our Terra Nova standardized test results for the 2013/14 year, show St. E’s ranked near the top of the Metuchen Diocese in all content areas, especially math. Our curriculum seeks to foster excellence both within and outside the classroom. We focus on developing the fundamen- tal academic skills and critical thinking that are essential for lifelong learning and academic success. St. E’s is equally committed to building strength of char- acter and a strong sense of civic and Christian responsibility among students. Ultimately, our goal is to prepare our graduates to become future leaders and responsible citizens of the world. St. E’s provides a deliberately loving environment where leadership skills are fostered and there is zero tolerance for bullying. The St. E’s Promise of Respect and the inter-grade buddy program also create a responsible and compassionate community. Our entire school is fortu- nate to have recess built into their day. Academic excellence is evidenced by standardized test results and the high school preparedness of our graduates. The School of St. Elizabeth offers indi- vidualized attention for each and every child and our test scores exhibit the proof of our sound curriculum. These assess- ment outcomes are the result of motivat- ed learners, supportive parents, and the instructional efforts of an extremely ded- icated staff. Our graduates are fortunate to be accepted to the high schools of their choice. This year’s graduates have received over $150,000 in scholarship money towards a four-year education at the competitive high schools of their choice. Our 2014 graduates have been accepted at Delbarton, Oak Knoll, Mor- ristown-Beard, Villa Walsh, Kent Place, Oratory Prep, Mount Saint Mary Acade- my, Seton Hall Prep, Immaculata and Saint Peter’s Prep. We also have students attending Warren County Vocational School, Somerset County Vocational School Performing Arts Program, Ridge High School and Bernards High School. The Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 program both have an 8:1 student-teacher ratio. We offer extensive scheduling options with lunch bunch and before and aftercare available. Pre-K4 students also attend a different specials class each day. As the School of St. Elizabeth approaches it’s 100th year anniversary in 2016, we invite you to come to take a look at all of our advancements in tech- nology, curriculum and security. The val- ues for educating a self-confident, artic- ulate student have stayed the same, but St. E’s continues to excel in preparing our graduates to be leaders of the 21st century.
