Now in our 49th year we continue that great tradition. Dave Kessler now in his 38th year started as a part-time worker in 1980 while in high school. He continued work- ing through college, graduating in 1985 from Somerset County Col- lege earning an associate’s degree. After college Dave decided to stay on with Chicken Holiday continu- ing to manage the Bridgewater location and later becoming the store’s 3rd owner on May 1, 2015. What makes our chicken stand out from our competitors’ is a number of things. Every piece of chicken is hand-breaded on the premises. We use larger chickens averaging 3 1 / 4 -3 1 / 2 lbs. Our chicken is cooked to order in a deep fry pressure fryer using cholesterol free, zero trans fat oil. Advantages to pressure frying is the chicken cooks at a faster pace keeping the moisture in the chicken which pre- vents the oil from getting in. Our cooking technique has been often imitated but you can be sure it will never be duplicated. Another signature trademark is our BBQ pork spare ribs which are also done from scratch on the premises. We boil the ribs then cut and trim them and then they are marinated in our own sauce before being BBQ’d on the grill. Not to be out done is our buffalo wings. Our buffalo wings come already bread- ed with a spicy, peppery kick to them, and served dry and crunchy with hot sauce, bleu cheese or ranch on the side. If you like your wings mild enjoy them just the way they are. For those who like them hot we give you extra sauce on the side. We also offer chicken fingers or nuggets. A variety of seafood items are also available: shrimp, fish, clam strips and scallops. Our menu offers a wide variety of affordable meals, ranging from individual lunches and dinners to family packages and party plans. Every order gets the same personal attention, whether its 2 pieces or 200 pieces. We also offer many side dishes to complete your meal such as french fries, mashed pota- toes, mac & cheese, corn on the cob, deep fried vegetables, moz- zarella sticks, potato skins, coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad and many more.
