By: Rachna Patel, Kiddie Academy, Owner Our new state of the art Kiddie Academy educational child care facil- ity is now open and enrolling. We are located on the corner of Milltown Road and US Route 22 East and would like to take this opportunity to introduce our center to the commu- nity of Bridgewater. Our center serves families and their children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, with full-time, before- and after-school educational childcare, from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. Kiddie Academy, founded in 1981, began with the idea to combine learning with child care, and a com- mitment to be a leader in the indus- try. Kiddie Academy developed a comprehensive education-based child care program for its academies, which are structured to respond to the increasing demand for child care. Our center provides an environment that fosters learning from the moment children walk in the door to the time they leave at the end of the day. Our academy sets itself apart with its proprietary curriculum (Kiddie Academy Life Essentials) which has a focus on social/emotion- al, physical and cognitive outcomes that are aligned and exceed the state preschool standards. These standards are based on skills, knowledge and abilities that children achieve through developmentally appropriate activi- ties and experiences. Our well-trained, attentive staff assists children in developing the confidence and self-esteem neces- sary to meet the challenges of tomor- row. Our philosophy at Kiddie Academy is that care and learning go hand in hand. We also believe that it’s extremely important to foster bonds between not only our educa- tors and children, but between edu- cators and parents, academies and the local community. According to the National Childcare Accreditation Council, children’s learning and development is enhanced when they make choices and guide their own experiences through their individual interests, personalities and skills. Children’s learning occurs through planned and spontaneous experiences, during their participation in daily routines and through their experience of pos- itive modeling by adults and peers. This is one of the main focuses of our Kiddie Academy daycare center. The assortment of activities we have available for the children is endless, which encourages them to learn, play and explore. When children attend Kiddie Academy of Bridgewater, they will acquire the skills and strength of character that will foster their success. My husband and I pride ourselves on providing the highest level of care, education and customer service to each and every family every day. Our academy will be like a second home to the children we serve and their days will be filled with enriching activities, exciting learning experi- ences and plenty of outdoor fun.
