Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday the market is bustling with shoppers, taking in the sights and wonderful aromas of the many offerings from friendly, Amish ven- dors, all under one roof. For 25 years, the market has brought old-fashioned quality from the countryside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Flemington. At Becca’s Bakery, homemade baked goods are made right before your eyes. Becca’s fresh donuts and apple and blue- berry fritters are top sellers. Whoopie pies, rolls, cakes, muffins, breads, pies and gluten- free and sugar-free items are also available. Watch homemade pretzels being made from scratch at Lil’s. Her famous pretzels are delicious on their own, or stuffed with cheese and the meat of your choice. Homemade root beer, 15 flavors of pop- corn, chips, fruit smoothies, and hand- dipped, Hershey’s ice cream are only some of the treats available. Beiler’s Cheese and Pickles features homemade, raw milk cheese from Millport Dairy, Lancaster County, and a beautiful display of imported and domestic cheeses, homemade cheese spreads, yogurt and butter. Barrel cured pickles, beets and sauerkraut are favorites, and fresh-from-the farm milk with no added BST hormones is for sale. Visit the homemade fudge shop at Marty’s Candies & Canned Goods and check out the chocolates and variety of candies, dried nuts and canned goods. Sugar, spices, flour, jams, jellies, apple but- ter and honey are also on display. Esh’s Craft has Amish handcrafted out- door lawn furniture. Also, placemats and table runners are best sellers. Indoor furni- ture is also sold and can be custom made. Esh’s Seafood and Salads offers fresh, wild caught and farm raised seafood. Over 100 types of prepared foods are made on site, including soups and salads. Some selections are grouper, cod, salmon, shrimp, flounder, tilapia, stuffed flounder, clams and crabs. Featured salads are broccoli, cauli- flower and coleslaw. Esh’s also has side dish- es and desserts to complete the meal. Flemington Produce offers a wide selec- tion of colorful, freshly picked, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Fresh squeezed juices, cut fruit and party platters are also available. Find fresh poultry without hormones and antibiotics at Stoltzfus Fresh & BBQ Poultry. An extensive showcase features many cuts of chicken and turkey, and an array of prepared entrees, potatoes and vegetables. Cooked items including fresh BBQ, ribs, wings and rotisserie chicken are available to eat-in or take out. Stop by for the pig roast the last Friday and Saturday of every month.
