Owner, Ernst Michel says “I love what I do. It’s not about the money.” For fourteen years, Tessuto has provided quality men’s merchandise and great service. It is a soup to nuts men’s clothing shop providing everything from made-to-measure suits to shoes, jeans, underwear and accessories. Tessuto also offers their customers tuxedo rentals and expert tailoring. Michel runs the shop with his two sons Ashley (the oldest) and Jordon (the youngest) as a family business. He has been enjoying putting together people’s clothing needs for over 30 years and finds the business and making people look great very satisfying. With so many department stores taking over, Tessuto is proud of its shop that is far and few between. Their shop carries high-end clothing imported from Italy, Germany and France that has a very European feel to it. There is a full-service tailor shop right in the store with Italian tailors to provide the very best services around. Tessuto has a great relation- ship with the surrounding shops and considers them to be just like family. Many people are referred to the store and become instant customers. The most popular and best selling brand at Tessuto is Mac Jeans. They are a stretch type of jean available in an array of colors. Tessuto does not stop there. One glance of the store shows that Tessuto is all about color, organization and quality which are some things customers will experi- ence when they come in to shop. The store is designed by the same architect that designed Char Steak- house in Raritan, N.J. and has a very interactive approach to shopping. Tessuto offers a Shop by Appoint- ment Service and also an Emergency Service. The Shop by Appointment service brings in customers that tend to be very busy. They offer flexible hours (such as very early morning) for busy shoppers. The Emergency Service is designed to help people with clothing emergencies and last- minute problems including wedding attire or even clothing needs for a quick business meeting. Men and even women are among the top shoppers at Tessuto. Often, women come in to shop for their husbands. Shoppers are invited to browse and check out the quality and services for themselves.
