In my years of experience I have found that good products and a proper hair-care regimen can greatly influence the quality of hair. Hair care is my specialty since I myself have thin hair. I have searched far and wide for proper products and techniques to create thicker, more voluminous hair. My approach to hair is looking at it like it is a piece of denim and I have to transform it to soft, fine silk. I have helped many clients achieve super soft hair and my hair has benefitted from it as well. Delicate, silky hair needs a lot of care. For fine, thin hair, I recommend the use of a shampoo and conditioner especially formulat- ed for delicate hair. After this is selected, even the washing tech- nique should be considered. Vigor- ous rubbing is out; a gentle massage concentrating on the roots is how I shampoo thin hair. This should be fol- lowed by a towel blotting to remove moisture. Do not rub hard with the towel, this disrupts and disturbs the cuticle of the hair shaft and will destroy the hair strands. All of us thinking ladies - we need to keep every hair we have on our heads! I use razor hair cut technique a lot. Contrary to some opinions, the razor does not thin or destroy the hair when done properly. This required proper training and experience. The razor cut actually help add lift and volume to the hair. I also choose a scissor cut when I feel it is appropri- ate. The important thing for my clients is that the cut gives volume and compliments the features as well as it is easy to recreate at home. Styling and proper products are very important for total success in this fantastic new hairstyle. At BELLEZZA SALON & SPA our team does exten- sive research and testing of products and styling tools.
