THE LEADING PROVIDER OF 24/7 LIVE-IN CARE Call today to learn about our unique approach to quality home care! 908-668-8200 HomeCareAssistanceNewJersey.com 53 Mountain Blvd, Suite 103, Warren, NJ 07059 Live Well at Home The preferred choice of 9 out of 10 seniors! Home Care Assistance of Warren offers several specialized areas of in-home care with trained caregivers — at no extra cost! Our Balanced Care Method is a holistic program that promotes healthy diet, physical exercise, mental stimulation, socialization and a sense of purpose. Our Cognitive Therapeutics Method keeps aging minds engaged through research-based activities designed to improve mental acuity and slow symptoms of mild to moderate cognitive decline. Our Hospital to Home Care program is designed to ensure a smooth recovery at home after a medical incident. As I have shared with you over this past year, my mother-in-law, Eleanor, is thriving at Chelsea at Warren, and we are so pleased! Recently, however, she had a medical situation that required surgical intervention, and I was very concerned about her ability to be on her own. I reached out to the Wellness Center staff at Chelsea and was given a won- derful lead for caregivers to sup- port Mom through this challeng- ing time. Kevin McClarren of HOME CARE ASSISTANCE, located in Warren, New Jersey, was a gift for us at this time when we had so many concerns. I called a few days before the surgery, and when Mom returned to Chelsea post-surgery, a wonderful care- giver awaited her. Precious was one of many wonderful care- givers Kevin provided, and the companionship, as well as the support they gave me when I took her to the doctor for her recheck, was invaluable. Kevin was as interested in Eleanor’s progress as we were, and I truly felt he made sure she had the right people for the job at each juncture of Mom’s recovery. We spoke many times during the recovery period, and I feel so good that Mom had a good start she might not have had without such wonderful support. The literature Kevin sent me when we made the arrange- ments for Mom indicated that HOME CARE ASSISTANCE was opened in the fall of 2005, and their office is located at 53 Mountain Boulevard in Warren. All caregivers are employees of the agency, not independent contractors. My interaction with the caregivers indicated a sense of pride they have about their positions, which comes from their commitment to the agency, and vice versa. Incidentally, care- givers are skilled and experi- enced in providing safe, effective care for clients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Please contact Kevin at HOME CARE ASSISTANCE by phone (1-866-4LIVEIN or 908-668- 8200) or through their website (www.HomeCareAssistance.com) if you are in the position of needing care for your parent, spouse, sibling or yourself. There is no need to be alone when the support and peace of mind a caregiver can provide is so close, easy, and capable. DOES YOUR PARENT NEED A TEMPORARY CAREGIVER? By: Ellyn Mantell
