SEPTEMBER, ahh the Autumn leaves, Back to School, Back to Life after a wonderful summer! Welcome to this fabulous issue full of NEW advertisers , very in- teresting editorials, Community News and convenient sections, which make the magazine easier to read and local merchants simpler to find. Two fall community events worth mention- ing are: Wagner Farm Arboretum in Warren pres- ents its Pumpkin Extravaganza – “Brite Nites.” It’s a great Halloween themed event open for 6 nights in October. Details on page 26! In addition, Keeping Babies Safe – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides education, assistance, advocacy and leadership in the development of safer children’s products and practices, is hosting their annual 5K walk & run on October 30, 2016 in Harry Dunham Park – Basking Ridge. See page 96 for important in- formation or to donate to this worthwhile cause! Featured from our business/professional commu- nity this issue are: 4 Brothers Breakfast, Bedmin- ster ON SITE Drapery Care, Branchburg Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery, Celebrity Pedi- atrics, Congregation Knesseth Israel, Delta Fi- nancial Group, Martinsville Gardens, Preferred Property Improvements, S&G Cleaning Services, Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Truefitt & Hill and Warren Dermatology and Laser Center. Our tal- ented writers have provided unique insight into these businesses and their respective owners. Local artist, Rita Koch, adorns our cover with an oil on canvas painting entitled, “Bovine Grapevine.” Rita, a 30 year resident in Central New Jersey, still marvels at the natural beauty surrounding her. Hiking, kayaking or bicycling locally provide her with much of her painting inspirations. This piece was motivated by a field of cows across from the gym Rita attends. She met a couple at the gym who coincidentally own the farm these cows were graz- ing on, and the invitation to meet them was set. Rita states, “These three ladies seem to be chatting… maybe about me, who I was and what I was doing there anyway. Their wary expression just captivated me and I couldn’t wait to get them on canvas. I usu- ally need to refer to my photos often while painting, but not for these girls. We (the cows and I) somehow made a connection so they took shape easily with very little need for reference pictures.“ Please read Rita’s impressive bio on page 8.
