Mary was instrumental in the community, treating all of her customers and staff like family. She provided the town with superior care for several years, even during Hurricane Sandy. A constant supporter of the town and its events, she was willing to help at any time. Mary was an avid supporter of Autism Speaks, allowing students to work in the hardware store to learn new skills. She made several contributions to Bernards High School’s theatre program, in which her daughter was actively involved. She was a proud mother. In keeping with the hardware tradition, in Mary’s honor, all animals are welcome in her store. Her generosity, kindness, and strength will be sorely missed.
