Jones came to Bound Brook in 1999 for an important reason, he was there to help the Borough of Bound Brook rebuild after the flood of September 1999. After many businesses were forced to close as a result, Mike Jones joined community efforts to rebuild after the devastation. Once there, Jones found a diverse, wonderful community that quickly became his home and family. In April of 2000, Mike and business partner Shawn Leyden opened the doors of Mirror Image Barber Shop . His intent and motivation was to establish a family friendly, community barber shop for clients of all kinds, and in that he has been wildly successful. “One of the images that sparked our business is that of an older gen- tleman, sitting in the corner, offer- ing valuable – if many times unso- licited – advice to a younger gener- ation.” Mike said. Mirror Image Barber Shop employs four barbers with a com- bined experience of sixty years cut- ting hair. Boys, girls, young and sen- ior will find a talented crew of hair cutters and a braiding specialist who can cut, trim, braid and fade their hair to the freshest look possible. From women's short haircuts to men's scissor, clipper and razor cuts, they also offer eyebrow services and straight razor shaves (hot towels included of course).
