Marcelo Cruz, C & H Kitchen Designs Studio, has been in the contracting business for nearly twenty years. He has helped to build hundreds of kitchens and installed thousands of cabinets. By actually working with the cab- inets, he has developed a keen sense of what works and what doesn’t. He understands how to make the most out of a space and what distinguishes a quality cabi- net from a cabinet that won’t stand the test of time. Best of all, he understands the importance of detail. He has built, installed and designed many different kinds of moldings to complement every imaginable style of cabinet. This past fall, he hired Matthew Almeida, a family member with drafting experience and a natural talent for design, and opened C & H Kitchen Designs Studio in downtown Martinsville. Located at 1958 Washington Valley Road, C & H Kitchen Designs Studio is a place where Marcelo can meet with clients and share the expert- ise that he has gained through his years of experience. Marcelo is a builder – not salesman – so when he recommends products it is based on what he knows will work for you, not what he wants to sell you. Every one of C &H Kitchen Design’s clients gets personal attention. First, they talk to each client to learn about the space and to determine their needs and taste. Then, if more measure- ments are necessary, they will go to the home to measure the space to insure accuracy in the rendering. Matthew will usually do an initial design free of charge so each client can more easily pic- ture the end result. Once the design is done, Marcelo helps to make the ren- dering a reality.
