Rainbow G&J has done plenty of com- mercial jobs in the central Jersey area, including the Bridgewater Jewish Commu- nity Center, several school gymnasiums, and even a popularly frequented Barnes & Noble, just to name a few. Rain- bow G&J recently showcased their work at New Jersey Home Show at the Raritan Exhi- bition Center in Edison, NJ. Glenn started painting when he was in college in the ‘80s. After finishing school, he decided to start a business of his own. With all of his years of experience in the business, he is all too familiar with the pop- ular stereotypes and misconceptions that people sometimes feel about painters or contractors. At Rainbow G&J, however, Glenn builds meaningful relationships with his clients who feel satisfied and safe with his work. Much of his business is repeat clients as well as referrals from loyal cus- tomers. Glenn feels especially privileged to be in a business that allows him to develop long standing relationships with people just like himself, to be a good person working with other good people. Glenn likes to spend time with his fami- ly in his free time. He and wife of 25 years, Christine, have three beautiful children, two in college, and one getting ready to begin the college search. Glenn likes to think of himself as a “pretty lucky guy,” for having such a wonderful family and a busi- ness that offers him the chance to connect with other families. In many ways, the love for his own family translates to the love of his work. As his customers welcome him into their homes, they welcome him into their living space and trust him to make their home a more beautiful place to live. The happiness his customers feel when the job is done is shown with sincere apprecia- tion and gratitude, and Glenn appreciates that beyond anything else. This appreciation is shown in the way Rainbow G&J gives back to the communi- ty. In addition to being members of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce, Rainbow G&J gives yearly donations to the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson in Somerville and does “Paint for Pink” during the month of Octo- ber. Five percent of the contracted price for any job done during the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is donat- ed to Steeplechase. As Glenn’s wife is a Breast Cancer Survivor, this charity is very close to his heart, and shows just how much heart goes into his work.
