Set to open its doors on June 26, the K-8 summer camp offered by the War- ren Township School District is always a popular place to be with diverse course offerings ranging from sports to science to music to technology and more. The program is open to all interested families in all communities. “Our amazing program grows bigger and better each year,” says Summer Fun principal Meryl Let- tire. “Last year, we had over 400 participants and, in our first week alone, we had rocket launches, dance, music and acting perform- ances, whacky dodgeball and sci- ence experiments.” Lettire says she is proud to over- see the program “where our stu- dents get to pick and choose from over 20 different classes run by cer- tified teachers.” “Last year, we successfully launched our online registration process which made signing up much easier than ever before,” she adds. “At Summer Fun 2018 , our campers will get to change their schedules every week and try all of our classes which I think makes our program truly one of a kind.” Summer Fun offers enrichment activities and academic support classes as well as before and after- care/extended services for students entering kindergarten through 8th grade. The program runs from June 26 through July 27, 2018, with no classes on July 4. Online registration will become available on the district website at www.warrentboe.org in February 2018.PAGE 18
