The idea was created for a bridal boutique and after chang- ing names and locations over a few decades, Jefre Bridals was crafted. Taking his mother’s advice to spell the name different- ly so they were unique, the Green Brook boutique has been helping women achieve their dream wed- ding looks since the 1970s. Dressing a wedding party is no small picnic, but Jefre Bridals caters to the entire bridal party (groom included!) and has easily become a fan-favorite, producing referrals thanks to their down-to- earth and friendly demeanor. “A lot of daughters come in with their mothers, who happened to have bought their dresses here years ago,” says Rabinowitz. “We’re a family store; we treat everyone that comes in how we would treat our own family.” With a seamstress on-site and a sales team to help even the most unsure bride, it’s easy to see why this store was the 2010 Top Pick of The Knot Best of Weddings and 2015 Reader’s Choice, Couri- er News for Somerset County for bridal and formal wear. Brides aren’t treated as if they were in a large, commercialized store, and the seamstress can customize any alteration to a dress with all changes made in-house. “The women coming in are individuals and we’re not selling them a shoe; we’re here to really help them,” says Rabinowitz, adding, “we provide the bride with every- thing but the groom!” Most of the staff at Jefre Bridals has been with him for almost twenty years and have truly seen and done it all over the years. “We cater to all different types of venues and keep in mind various styles, and also have last- minute appointments to make sure the dress fits properly in case of weight gain or loss,” he men- tions. Recently a customer came in from Boston; her cousin got married and used Jefre Bridals and told her when she was home for the holidays she needed to go there as well. “The feedback we receive is so warm,” says Rabi- nowitz, “it really is a great feel- ing.” The walls of the boutique showcase this, with countless thank you letters and photos from happy brides who were overjoyed with how their big day turned out. With a mission statement of, “Choose the dress that makes you feel most like yourself, because that’s who he fell in love with,” it’s not difficult to see why Rabinowitz’s warm manner is easy to resonate with and truly makes the bridal experience ideal for any- one who walks through the doors.
