JULES’ CLOSET 64 Mountain Blvd. Warren, NJ 07059 908-991-1733 www.julescloset.com By: Rachel Ricucci Julie Mistry Jules’ Closet is a brand new women’s clothing boutique located in between Kings and Edgewood Pharmacy in War- ren that sells high-quality clothing with luxurious fabrics which are unique and hard to find. The Owner, Julie Mistry has owned this business for around a month and said the idea of opening a store came to her when shopping at the local mall she felt it needed a boutique. “I wished that someone would open up a shop. I wanted to do it.” And so it became Jules’ Closet which sells clothing labels with a good price point such as Greylin, Cupcakes and Cashmere and Rails. In addition to this, they also sell contemporary and hand- dipped crystal jewelry including designer names such as House of Harlow and Ashiana. To accent the beautiful clothes they sell, they also have hand-pounded, wrap leather belts from Argentina. “You can dress up every outfit with a belt” Julie says. The store itself has a light up sign out- side and looks like a “walk in closet” according to Julie. She said “it’s small and cute.” Inside, the store is decorated in happy, bright colors with a theme of orange, silver, gold, hot pink and grey. Julie said she recently added Paper Mache peonies around the store to brighten the shopping experience. “It’s stunning – it tied the whole boutique theme together.” The clothes in Jules’ Closet are suit- able for women of any age. Julie said “it caters to everyone” and also said that she “really didn’t expect” that she’d please all age groups (including retired people to teens) with her merchandise. Julie said that brands are brought in from Los Angeles, NYC and France and that she really pays attention to details when choosing clothes. “I wanted to bring the clothes from online to the boutique.” The store steers away from the generic styles often found at malls. “It beats going to the mall” said Julie. “Everything I bring into this boutique is handpicked.” Jules’ Closet will offer an experience in shopping. Julie said she loves to style people and make them look great and feel comfortable in their clothes. She commented that it’s almost like having a personal shopper; she gives feedback and suggestions on the clothing and offers ideas as to what would work with the shopper’s hair and skin coloring. Julie feels this is something shoppers would drive a distance for. As far as sales and specials, customers may find them here. The store has ongo- ing sales and Julie rewards her customers for their love and support with percent- ages off and stays in contact with them through e-mail. The location of the boutique is ideal and convenient enough to raise the interest of shoppers walking by, hitting the mall or just window shopping with coffee. The catchy name is enough to pique curiosity. Julie mentioned that her friends always came to her closet to bor- row clothes, so she wanted to continue that tradition with “Jules’ Closet.” According to Julie, the store has been getting a lot of advertisement via word of mouth. She said “Women know women that shop.” Although the store is quite new and Julie is still just getting her feet wet, she has hopes to expand her store in the future. For now, Julie said she wants peo- ple to come to her boutique for a very personal experience. “All women are beautiful.
