Spotlight on Seniors Tie The Knot Summer Programs Health & Wellness Home Sweet Home Dining Out The Warren Township Recreation Com- mission is running 2015 Summer Camps for children and teens in War- ren, Green Brook, and Watchung. Regis- tration is already open for Warren resi- dents. We are offering four camps: Play- ground Camp, Teen Travel Camp, Kindergarten Camp, and Lego Camp. The Playground and Teen Camp begin June 29th and run until July 31. Every Monday, except for the first Monday, the Teen and the Playground camps are at the Warren Brook Pool from 12-3pm. Our Playground Program, for children entering 1st to 5th grade in September, will be held at the Municipal Pavilion. And the Teen Travel Camp, for children entering 6th to 9th grade, is at the East County Park Pop Warner Field House and the Warren Middle School gym. Activities for the Playground Program include arts and crafts, group games, fishing casting instruction, board games, playground play, water fun, mak- ing ice cream, visit to the libra- ry, dance lessons, science projects, basketball, and much more. We have a special treat the first day of camp. The Bucks County Bungee Jump Rope Team will be performing and teaching all the campers starting 10am so don’t be late. The Teen Travel Camp is a semi- organized camp. Teens are allowed to choose from crafts, t-shirt tie-dyeing, basket weaving, games, sports, hiking at the East County Park Trail, listening to music, basketball indoors or just socializing. Every Wed- nesday there is a trip set for an excit- ing location. Once a week we have a special guest visit such as Warren Police dog, Onyx. The Kindergarten Camp is from August 3rd to 7th from 9am to 1pm at the Municipal Pavilion and is for chil- dren entering Kindergarten in Septem- ber. Activities will be similar to our playground camp. The Lego Star Wars & Motorized Machine with Mission to Mars Camp is for ages 7-12 and runs from August 10th to 14th from 8:45am-2:45pm at Central School. Lego enthusiasts will have fun building their favorite adven- tures from Star Wars. We will also have the students build a wide assortment of motorized Lego machines with the Lego education motorized mechanisms cur- riculum that is designed to teach stu- dents just how those complex machines work. New this year! With “Mission to Mars” students can create their own projects that illustrate sci- ence concepts. Each child takes home a project the last day.
