The beau- tiful Martinsville Taverna in the neighborly town of Martinsville has you covered. Benny, the owner since 1996, has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant business. He has moved his restaurant from Mar- tinsville, to Bridgewater and then back to Martinsville owing to the many repeat customers located here. Benny feels exceptionally grateful to be able to cater to the numerous happy customers and takes great pride in talking about the exception- al food, customer service and ambiance of his restaurant. Benny, with an Albanian back- ground, says his inspirations for the restaurant came from traveling around Europe and Italy. He also used to be a chef. He believes his restau- rant has the best service and doesn’t worry about the competition. “We can handle it - we’re one of the best around.” According to him, what gets him up in the morning and inspires him is his love of people. “I like to make them happy through the foods. I’m a people person.” The chefs of the Martinsville Taverna are Benny’s friends who have been with him for seventeen years. Each of them handle an inte- gral part of the cooking process and have a specific role – one handling the sauté, one fish and one just the pasta. He says the system works and is used in his “sister” restaurant called Café Azzurro in historical Pea- pack, NJ, a BYOB restaurant. This restaurant is about the same size as the Martinsville Taverna and has similar attributes. As for favorite dishes, the Shrimp Fra Diavalo is among the most popu- lar that people usually order and enjoy the most. The pasta at the Martinsville Taverna is known to be delicious and the restaurant has a liquor license with a full bar menu and offers the traditional lunch, din- ner and dessert menus. The prices range from about $20-$35 for entrées and $12-$15 for appetizers. The owner says the food is all from New Jersey and they occasionally have organic foods in the summer time. The restaurant offers catering and plans for private parties and events, big or small. Governor Chris Christie has even shown up at this restaurant! Everyone is welcome at the Mar- tinsville Taverna. Come meet your neighbors and friends and you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant offers free parking and they encour- age reservations.
